·         Manage technical area of PowerFAIDS customer support department responding to technical issues encountered by PowerFAIDS and NetPartner customers.

·         Implement new technologies and ideas in the PowerFAIDS and NetPartner customer service area to obtain quicker response time to customer’s problems.

·         Teach technical class to PowerFAIDS customers on proper installation of Sybase service, database log file forcing, setting up test databases, network protocols, and ODBC setup and trouble shooting.

·         Present and moderate technical sessions at annual PowerFAIDS National User Conference.

·         Serve as technical support for annual PowerFAIDS National User Conference providing setup and testing of all equipment, software, conference presentations, presentation databases, and wireless network at on site locations throughout the country. Act as technical liaison with hotels and vendors to determine equipment and interfaces needed to provide effective support for these annual conferences.

·         Develop, edit, modify, and test documentation on PowerFAIDS software releases, technical documentation provided to customers and potential customers, and in house technical procedures.

·         Act as technical liaison between Sales department, current and potential customers; often sitting in on
   conference calls with both sales staff and customers for Power
FAIDS and NetPartner.

·         Provide technical consulting services for current and potential PowerFAIDS and NetPartner customers by
   reviewing their institutional configurations and making recommendations to best support the customer and
   the products in their environment.

·         Work with PowerFAIDS customers to correct a wide variety of problems such as database corruption, loss of connectivity to server, and recovery from server crashes.

·         Instruct customer’s technical personnel on implementing parameters to boost the client/server program’s processing speed.

·         Serve as DBA, installing and configuring new Sybase and SQL Server 2000 test servers in house.

·         Configure and test database replication, generating replication scripts for upgrade of SQL Server replicated databases.

·         Convert Sybase databases to SQL Server by means of database table and column manipulation to properly transfer data from the customer’s Sybase database to an empty SQL Server database. Troubleshoot and correct any problems encountered during this process.

·         Act as web master for PowerFAIDS web site.  Handling issues with NT 4.0 and Windows 2000
  Advanced web servers, MS Front Page 2000/2003, and IIS 5/6.

·         Served as a QA tester for a year testing new operating systems and database platforms for certification with PowerFAIDS client/server software.

 

 

Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation - McLean, VA

November 1994 - June 1998    (Installation Team Supervisor)

·         Supervised daily work of installation team personnel (up to fourteen employees).

·         Maintained and tracked work orders for new computers, computer related hardware, and software installations. 

·         Maintained and tracked inventory housed in all installation storage facilities (three facilities). 

·         Served as technical advisor to installation team members and technicians in satellite offices on computer hardware and software problems.

·         Authored installation procedures and documentation of new computers, hardware related items, and software programs.

·         Measured, spliced, and connected CAT 4 and 5 cables between patch panels and server ports.

·         Trained new technicians on proper installation procedures of computer related items.

March 1995 – June 1998 (On-Call System Administrator)

·         Upgraded firm’s Windows NT 3.51 server to Windows NT 4.0. 

·         Setup Internet services to work with T1 connection; Setup in-house and Internet E-mail.

·         Loaded local and network software programs.

·         Responsible for management of LAN and email IDs. 

·         Purchased, replaced, and installed all computer hardware related items.

January 1988 - July 1993 (Combat Communications Specialist)

·      Acted as squad leader, platoon leader throughout several units.

·      Held a Secret security clearance to perform such duties as storing, cataloging, issuing, and properly destroying IFF codes (codes used to identify friendly aircraft from foe). 

·      Repaired and maintained vehicle communication systems and point-to-point ground equipment.

·      Housed, repaired, maintained, and issued any and all weapons in Unit’s armory.
